For Parents
An upcoming children’s dental appointment is usually a source of stress for parents and children alike.
With so many real causes for negative reactions, it’s hard to make it a positive experience. Knowing this, Helene Strazza, DMD, has created the “Dental Fun Zone” at All About Kids, a pediatric dental office, newly opened at 127 Greyrock Place, across from the Stamford Town Mall.
Finally, children will be asking to get their teeth cleaned!
Enter All About Kids and you walk into a world of fun and make believe. A flat screen TV, stadium seating, arcade games, and a castle with very real stone walls greet you as you enter. The path to the fairy tale examination room, preceded by a trip to Winnie the Pooh’s Outhouse (aka, the bathroom) and walking under a life-sized Spiderman, heightens children’s excitement to be here. If fairytales aren’t of interest, your child’s exam can be completed “under the sea” where fish tanks dot the walls, giant fish float above them, and the sink looks like a deep pond.
At the end of their visit, children receive take-home “prizes,” won carnival style by earning tickets for cooperation.
Dr. Strazza’s goal has been to create a dental home that would offer more than just regular checkups and necessary dental work, but would also reach out to the entire family to provide guidance, comfort, and enjoyment that would create great dental memories to last a lifetime.
If you want to see the new face of pediatric dentistry, come by and check out this all-new pediatric dental office designed just for kids!
